Helen knits kindness and care for a cause

Our wonderful resident Helen Fitzsimmons was recently interviewed by 9 News Gold Coast for her incredible efforts knitting beanies for cancer patients, newborns, and premature babies. Helen has been knitting her whole life, but for the past few years she’s focussed on creating warm, colourful beanies for a cause close to her heart. So far, she has lovingly stitched over 400 beanies, each one a bundle of warmth, care and kindness care and kindness that gets delivered to Gold Coast University Hospital.
