Odyssey Chevron Island unveils Memory Lane

23 September, 2026

Odyssey Lifestyle Care Communities has officially opened the doors to Chevron Island, which introduces Memory Lane, an innovative space dedicated to seniors with memory issues. Located on Level two with sweeping views of Surfers Paradise, Memory Lane consists of 23 apartments, a 90-metre walking track, a lounge area with a fireplace, raised garden areas, a safety kitchen, specialised support and organised activities all in a secure and comfortable environment that resembles home.

Memory Lane is purpose built to help remedy the challenges faced by those with mild to advanced cognitive impairments and is a true ageing-in-place option that provides tailored services catering specifically for those living with dementia. This offering enables couples to continue living together when one or both partners can no longer safely live at home which can make an enormous difference as familiarity provides a sense of calm and reassurance.

Memory Lane means that as a resident’s dementia progresses, they will be looked after in an environment that prioritises their safety and dignity. Odyssey learnt a lot from the Robina community and used those lessons to refine the design of Chevron Island, particularly Memory Lane including a much larger 1,600m2 floor plan.

The walking track is a game changer as it promotes relaxation, exercise and mobility while also helping decrease agitation. Odyssey Chevron Island has also appointed a Fitness and Wellbeing Trainer to the team who will run daily sessions within Memory Lane. Consisting of 175 luxury apartments including nine penthouses and the 23-unit Memory Lane across a single 19 storey tower, Odyssey Chevron has a suite of luxury amenities including a 230-seat gourmet restaurant, swimming pool, piano lounge, cinema, wine cellars, beauty salon and more. Odyssey Chevron Island is located at 32 Mawarra Street Surfers Paradise, with another community located at Robina and a third in development at Hope Island.
