Odyssey’s Pink Ribbon Morning Tea
25 October, 2024
Odyssey residents, staff, and even their furry friends came together for a meaningful and colourful event on Thursday, 24 October, as part of the annual Pink Ribbon Morning Tea in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation. This year’s event had a playful twist, with a special pink station where residents could temporarily dye their hair pink.
With over 40 people in attendance, the event was filled with both joy and purpose. Residents gathered to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer, a cause close to many hearts, knowing that breast cancer is the second most diagnosed cancer in Australia. It affects over 20,000 Australians every year, with approximately 57 people diagnosed daily.
The Pink Ribbon Morning Tea wasn’t just about spreading awareness, though. It was a vibrant celebration filled with delicious high tea treats, live entertainment, and a best dressed competition, encouraging everyone to embrace the pink theme.
