Luxury specialist disability accommodation LifeBright launches

12 November, 2021

Helping remedy the shortage of appropriate, long-term and short-term disability accommodation on the Gold Coast, LifeBright has opened, bringing 18 High Physical Support apartments to the market, including care if needed.

Channels 9 and 7 Gold Coast News came out to report on the launch, where they met LifeBright resident Gail and her gorgeous assistance dog Coda.

Aligning with the NDIS Special Disability Accommodation scheme and located in the same precinct as Odyssey Lifestyle Care Communities, LifeBright has its own dedicated space and while running independent from its aged care counterpart, will have disability related supports delivered by the Odyssey care team.

LifeBright is designed to help fill a significant void in the accommodation market for people living with disabilities through a dedicated world-class community that promotes independent living.

One of the biggest hurdles for people with disabilities is finding a home that can help them live as normal a life as possible and support them to gain independence and skills that will ultimately improve their day-to-day experiences.

Apartments are fitted with a fully accessible kitchen, air conditioning, bathrooms, laundry benches and sinks, hob-less showers, and wide doorways and hallways to provide suitable circulation space.

Each apartment is also wired to a 24/7 nurse call system which brings a sense of comfort that there is always someone you can call on for assistance.

The ability to automate blinds, TV and lights and install a ceiling hoist if required are also features you can take advantage of in these luxury apartments.
